Women Fire Fighters Study: Evaluation of Exposures & Toxicity

The Firefighter Cancer Cohort Study (FFCCS) is seeking assistance from career and volunteer female firefighters from across New England. Researchers from the Center for Firefighter Health Collaborative Research will be hosting a female firefighter health seminar and a study recruitment event next month. The research project is enrolling women firefighters to evaluate exposures associated with reduced fertility and risk for bladder and kidney cancer in order to plan effective interventions to mitigate these conditions. This is a critical study is for female firefighters’ health. We seek to enroll at least 100 female firefighters from across New England over two days. Attached you will find the study flyer with more information. You do not need to attend the seminars to enroll in the study.
When: September 17 and 18, 2022 – 9:00am – 4:00pm
Educational Sessions at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm

As an added benefit The Firefighter Cancer Support Network has partnered with the American Academy of Dermatologists and local Dermatologist Dr. Christine Kannler to provide free skin cancer screenings for interested attendees.
