IAFC’s Volunteer Workforce Solutions offering $5,000 reimbursements to 20 Fire Departments

Through a FEMA SAFER grant, the IAFC’s Volunteer Workforce Solutions program in partnership with the IAFC’s Volunteer Combination and Officers Section is offering $5,000 reimbursements to 20 fire departments across the country to produce a fire camp to help with recruitment efforts within their community. Preference will be given to departments that are using the fire camp to recruit women, minorities, and other underrepresented groups into their departments. This scholarship will be awarded by reimbursement for eligible fire camp expenses. Your award will be reimbursed when the required documentation has been submitted and approved, you can select to be reimbursed in up to three installments. The first and second installments will require progress reports and the final reimbursement will require a summary report of the camp and required documentation.
